Goals of this Course

The goal of this course is to teach you enough about Hypnosis and Trance to enable you to hypnotize others, to speak knowledgeably about the subject when asked, and how to determine what is preventing trance in cases where difficulty arises, to provide you with a firm foundation to build on should you decide to pursue more training. There is too much information to be learned and remembered to have a goal any larger than this.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

a. Hypnotize any willing subject
b. Create a usable induction that will hypnotize a subject
c. Using the induction you created, you will hypnotize a subject, and then explain what the induction is doing and why it works.

Method of Instruction

The method of instruction I use is interactive. I believe that you don’t fully understand something, unless you can successfully explain it to someone else.

I am going to teach you the NATURE of trance. You will not only learn how to hypnotize, but why people can be hypnotized, what is actually happening, and what each part of an induction is really doing.

We will be using a model of how the mind works (in reference to hypnosis and trance), that I personally developed. Since there is still no scientific evidence that will prove what is really making your mind work, I developed this model by what operationally works.

You will be asked to explain the hypnosis concepts, and techniques to the class after you learn them. This will be the time for you to nail down the accuracy of the understanding of what you are learning, so you can apply it successfully after the course.

No one gets left behind

You will use what you have learned to write your own hypnosis induction, and then use it in class to hypnotize someone. Then afterward explain how and why what you did worked.

Demonstrations of Hypnosis

This class uses “hands on” practical training. The only subjects that are available are the students themselves. You will gain so much more understanding when you actually experience it yourself, so there will be no doubt about what your subjects are experiencing when you hypnotize them. This is necessary….So Expect to Hypnotize…and be Hypnotized…many times during this course!

Why I teach it this way

I teach hypnosis this way for several reasons:

Confidence.
The one single thing that will help a hypnotist most is to be confident in what they are doing. Instead of spouting an induction script and hoping it will work, you will understand the effect of the words you speak and be able to select them purposefully as needed.

Let’s use the metaphor of owning a car. If you make sure it has gasoline in the tank, the battery is charged, the air filter is not clogged, and the engine is tuned. You have every right to expect that when you get in and turn the key…the engine will start right up.

If the engine doesn’t start… What did you do wrong? Nothing!

The answer is always…there is something wrong with the car.

Understanding
You cannot learn hypnosis very well by just reading a book, or watching someone else do it. When you are actually doing it, is when you are really learning how. You will find out in this course that the subconscious makes recordings of actions (referred to as macros) and that this is a large part of what the learning mechanism really is, and how it is stored in memory.

An auto mechanic understands how a car works, and it is this knowledge that enables him to find out what the problem is and fix it, rather than having to call in someone else.

So I am training you to be a trance mechanic, to enable you to hypnotize those who have been unable to be hypnotized by others. This is the level of knowledge and understanding you are about to receive.

Expansion
With understanding the nature of trance and how to achieve it, you can easily build on what you have learned and make it your own.

So… Let’s get started!
